The FDLC team prepare to take on the Australian Gymnastics Championships

Athletes from Five Dock Leisure Centre recently came together for two days of intensive preparation, ahead of the upcoming 2026 Australian Gymnastics Championships, taking place at the Quaycentre in Sydney Olympic Park from 28 June.

The squad participated in a structured program that included presentations, guest speakers, team bonding activities, training sessions, and physio screenings, ensuring they are ready for competition at the highest national level.

Five Dock Leisure Centre is proud to have a strong representation across both women’s and men’s artistic gymnastics disciplines. The athletes competing at this year’s Championships include:

Bringing together the country’s top gymnasts, the Australian Gymnastics Championships is the premier event on the national calendar, providing athletes with the opportunity to compete against the best in Australia. The 2026 Championships will serve as the final major showcase for Australia’s Artistic Gymnastics Team ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

With final preparations now complete, the Five Dock team is eager to take the floor and represent their club with pride as the competition gets underway next weekend.
