Futsal at Concord Oval Recreation Centre

Looking for a high intensity, technique driven and social sport? Enjoy multiple rounds of social futsal with friends in our futsal competition!

Futsal is the perfect sport for football players who are looking to improve their technique and skills off-field. Due to the low bounce quality of a futsal ball, it spends much more time on the floor which is excellent for refining skills and ball control. The smaller area in which the game is played demands quick decision making, movement of the ball and intensity. For these reasons, soccer coaches are starting to run futsal sessions for juniors and even professional soccer teams.

Winter 2024 Men's Competition

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN (18+ years)

  • Dates: Round 1 to be played on Monday 15th April 2024, Round 14 to be played on 22nd July 2024 (Semi-Finals 29th July 2024, Grand Finals 5th August 2024). 
  • No games will be played on 10th June 2024.
  • Number of Rounds: 14 Rounds + Finals.
  • Team Season Fees: $1,304 for 14 Rounds ($30 Team Nomination Fee included in price).
  • Individual Player Registration Fee: $63.50 (each player on the team will need to purchase an Individual Player Registration and complete an Individual Player Registration Form).
  • Team/Player Registrations close on Tuesday, 2 April 2024.

How to Register

  1. To enter a team, one person from each team must fill out the below Team Registration form. Alternatively, please fill out this team registration form, and either hand into reception or scan and send to recsportsprograms@canadabay.nsw.gov.au by the closing date.
  2. All players must fill out the below Player Registration form and submit. Alternatively, please fill out this player registration form and either hand into reception or scan and send to recsportsprograms@canadabay.nsw.gov.au by the closing date.
  3. Team season fees to be paid as one up-front payment at reception before the start of the first game. All individual player registrations are paid through each player's account. 

PLEASE NOTE: Different to the outdoor winter club football competitions, our futsal competitions are designed for you to 'form and bring a team'.  If you are unable to form a team but would still like to play please send your details to recsportsprograms@canadabay.nsw.gov.au and we will do our best to accommodate you with any team that is in need of players.

Competition Information
  • Official Futsal rules apply in conjunction with CORC Futsal By Laws (https://www.concordrec.com.au).
  • All players must be registered before playing any matches (see Player Registration Form).
  • If you forfeit a match, your team must pay a reimbursement to CORC for the opposing team’s match fee.
  • Teams who forfeit 3 times may be removed from the competition.
  • All prices, dates and times are subject to change. Teams will be notified immediately through contact details provided.
  • 16 Minute Halves.
  • Nominations close Thursday, 28th September 2023.
  • Match times fall between 6:40pm and 10:00pm on Monday Nights.

  • No games played over Christmas/New Year period: 18/12/2023 – 08/01/2024
  • Round 1 to be played on 9 October 2023, Round 14 played on 5 February 2024, Semi Finals to be played on 12 February 2024 and Grand Finals on 19 February 2024.
  • Any personal information you provide to the Concord Oval Recreation Centre will only be used and/or disclosed for the Concord Oval Recreation Centre’s purposes, or a directly related purpose, unless you consent to another use or disclosure, in emergencies or as otherwise required or authorised by law
  • I the undersigned will be the nominated team contact in relation to all matters concerning my team’s participation in the competition. Including, responsibility of the competition match fee collection and payment. I have read and understand the above information. My team will comply with all competition rules and the CORC code of conduct.

Player Code of Conduct

I agree that as per the player code of conduct, I will:
▪ Play by the Futsal By Laws, and never argue with an official. If I disagree with a decision I will inform the captain or CORC staff after the game
▪ Demonstrate a duty of care towards everyone at the Concord Oval Recreation Centre.
▪ Display a high level of maturity. Understand that verbal abuse of officials and sledging other players and deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent are not acceptable or permitted behaviours in any sport
▪ Understand that Concord Oval Recreation Centre has a zero-tolerance policy on any behaviour deemed to be excessively aggressive or anti-social
▪ Be a good sport and applaud all good plays whether they are made by my team or the opposition
▪ Treat all players in my sport as I like to be treated. I will not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor
▪ Cooperate with my coach, team mates and opponents, and display modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat
▪ Participate for my own enjoyment and benefit, not just to please parents and coaches
▪ Ensure my decisions and actions contribute to a safe environment
▪ Will not arrive at the Concord Oval Recreation Centre under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
▪ Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion
▪ Work equally hard for myself and/or my team, and thank the opposition and officials at the end of the game
 
  • By completing the Player Registration form you consent to us using your image on our database for verifying your identity.
  • I give permission for photographs or videos showing images of me and my child/ren to be taken whilst we are at the Centres. I also give permission and consent to the photographs or videos showing images of me and my child/ren to be used at the Centre’s sole discretion for the purposes of internal and external communications, which may include but not limited to advertising and marketing, email marketing, posting on the Centre’s official social media account(s) including Facebook, Instagram and Website. I understand that I can withdraw the above consent at any time by advising the Centre in writing.
  • By becoming a user of Five Dock Leisure Centre and Concord Oval Recreation Centre, I agree to receive email communication from the Centres. I understand I can unsubscribe at any time.
  • I acknowledge that at all times that I am on the premises known as Concord Oval Recreation Centre for the purposes of undertaking an activity which is organised, approved or endorsed by Concord Oval Recreation Centre or Canada Bay City Council, both my person and property are at my own risk.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, I  hereby release Canada Bay City Council, Concord Oval Recreation Centre, its directors, employees, agents, contractors, spectators, volunteers and sponsors, from all claims and liability of all nature (including the negligence of any such persons) arising directly or indirectly by my participation in an activity which is organised, approved or endorsed by Concord Oval Recreation Centre or Canada Bay City Council (including the exercise or gymnastics programs)and whether prior to, during or following the completion of such activity.
  • I warrant that I am physically fit and able to engage in the exercise and indoor sports programs.
