Dominic Steele
Dominic Steele is an amazing and talented young man who achieves everything that is put in front of him. Dominic has been training at the centre since only last year and began his training in our MG Levels Program in Level 3 and moved up the next year to Level 5 and he is now currently training Level 7. Now at 16, he is currently attending Newtown High School for Performing Arts in a Dance background which has made a large impact on his gymnastics skills and routines.
His coaches are extremely proud of Dom as he puts in 110% into every lesson and is always happy to listen to any coach who provides him with feedback. He also never forgets his manners as there is always a 'Thankyou' after everything. He dreams to compete at National Championships in the near future and his coaches are gearing him up for the opportunity.
He competed Level 3 at State Championships in August 2009 and gained 19th place
Overall, then quickly moved into Level 5 and begun learning the new skills required to compete in August 2010. Dominic recently competed in the MG Grand Prix held over the 2010 MG competition season at Penrith and at Homebush and gained 4th Overall at Homebush, going on to compete at the 2010 State Championships also held at Homebush on 28th/29th August.
Dominic blew everyone away with his performance at State Championships this year and became the Level 5 Open State Champion! He placed 4th on Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, 1st on Floor and High Bar and 1st Overall. This is a fantastic effort from Dom and we look forward to watching his progression through the levels and his gymnastics career at Five Dock Gymnastics and beyond.
